My little bros are 9 and 11 and I've got them into Rancid and Horrorpops. They stayed at my place one night and we decided to watch the DVD. They were both literally mesmerized by Joe Strummer. They watched the "Rudie Can't Fail" footage probably 10 times. So, I copied some Clash and Mescaleros material for them and they're officially the coolest kids in the world.
